randomling: A dazed Amy Pond follows Rory Williams in Roman dress. (Doctor Who.) (rory/amy)
Here is one of my many new icons.

I am going to try not to be spammy but I like.

Perhaps later I will use a real actual update to showcase a new icon.
randomling: Tegan Jovanka (of Doctor Who). (tegan)
Except that I now want to post all the things and comment on all the things so that I can use my new icons.

I have many!
randomling: Ariadne (of Inception) looking down. (ariadne)
I am allowed 100 and I only have 30.

I'm browsing [community profile] fandom_icons but this is a slow process. And I have a few favourite icon-makers but not very many.

I'd love to hear your recommendations for icon-makers and so on.

(I'd particularly love some Firefly, BSG, Once Upon A Time, or Big Bang Theory icons, but I have a bazillion fandoms and it would be great to have lots. Dollhouse, Eureka, Warehouse 13... all of these would be awesome.)

Back to browsing [community profile] fandom_icons I guess!
randomling: Aeryn Sun from Farscape, as played by Claudia Black. (aeryn)

I love icons.

I'm cooooooooooooold.

An hour to go in the cold cold office. Followed by much travelling (it's therapy day).

Did I mention the cooooooooold?

Oh, and here's my other new icon.

randomling: Nine and Rose hold hands on their way back to the TARDIS (TARDIS is home)
Because I have two new Who icons, made by the lovely [personal profile] casett.

The other one is of Matt Smith in handcuffs.

Mmmmm. :D

(Edit - I only uploaded the icons to DW, so you'll have to head over to my DW to look if you saw this on LJ!)
randomling: A wombat. (Default)
You all may notice that my current default icon is of a wombat in a hat.

I love this icon. I've had it for almost seven years now. It's been my online "face" for those who don't know the real me for a very, very long time, and I don't want to stop being Wombat Girl/Wombat Lady/Wombat Goddess/Your Wombatness/whatever wombat-like nickname you want to give me. That would be weird. And sad!

But it's small for the LJ/DW size requirements and therefore looks a bit strange on here. So... I'm wondering where I might find more wombat icons. LJ searches have never really got me anywhere and Google isn't much help either.

I'm also looking for a few more general, non-fandom-ish icons, and have not much idea where to start.

Any ideas, oh peoples?

I just grabbed this from last year's MtYG icon post. Because, yes. I didn't even have a SeSa icon last year!

Santa count: 31.

Are you signed up yet? You know you want to!

Look at your LJ userpics list. If you have fewer than twenty icons, post them all. If you have between twenty and fifty icons, pick every fifth one. If you have between fifty and seventy-five icons, pick every seventh one. If you have over seventy-five icons, pick every tenth one. List them on your LJ, and tell everyone exactly why you have it, why it's interesting to you, and what significance it has.

A bunch of icons. )

The lovely [livejournal.com profile] rikes offered up this icon to use for my endless succession of posts about The Plan, and it's just perfect.

Thank you, [livejournal.com profile] rikes!

New layout. A new bunch of icons including a new default (well, hello, Mr Bass). I wrote a thousand words plus for [livejournal.com profile] bittybang today and I've got a really good idea where I'm going with it. It's just a shame I'm not so certain on the JuC Swap, really.

In all, not the worst day ever.

Thank you to [livejournal.com profile] llamabitchyo who is responsible for ALL my new icons - there's one to come which will is also due to [livejournal.com profile] llamabitchyo, via [livejournal.com profile] d_floorlandmine - and also for my [livejournal.com profile] bittybang bunny.

I really want to carry on with the [livejournal.com profile] bittybang but I stupidly came to my parents' and didn't email myself the latest draft. I guess I can just carry on and email the new scene to myself - or write something for [livejournal.com profile] bassez_day, I've no clue what.

How are you, ya'll? What's up in the universe?

I'm going to ask a question of the day. What is your comfort activity? What do you do, for preference, when you're down?

randomling: A pair of hands clasped. (hand porn)
I've been trying to add some text to this one. It's crying out for the word "sex" to sit right under those hands. But have not been able due to my lack of GIMP-fu. (I can't even get it in the right place! Sigh. Maybe this is what happens when you try to make icons while sick.)

Anyway, there you are!
randomling: A wombat. (justin)
At Camp Sparkle, we watched some N'Sync interviews from the NSA era, when the guys went to do promo in Japan (and possibly Hong Kong?). There were two or three interviews in which Justin looks really, really sick and lethargic. I wrote a whole fic about this and I'm looking to find/make a specific icon for the story.

What I'm looking for is caps from one of these interviews, of Justin looking sick, preferably with Lance in shot?

Anyone help?

I now have many.

Most, but not all, are by the wonderful [livejournal.com profile] pensnest. I will however be scouring the internets for further icons.

Well, I did nothing for Lance's birthday. Except for watching shitloads of Queer As Folk US, I guess. (Does that count?) It amuses me that the young, blond, pretty, pouty one is a Justin. A Justin T, even, heh. I would offer to write fics, but I already owe so many, so, not this time.

I did make myself a Justin icon, but I'm not sure I like it enough yet to add it. I'm not very skilled at these things yet. Will have to keep working...

Um, that's all I got.

-While watching one music channel or other with [livejournal.com profile] ephemera last night, I finally managed to catch "Four Minutes". Verdict: oh my God, the song sucks. Justin needs a fucking shave, and, dude, what's with the scarf? And Madonna is scary. But the concept (CGI scary thing takes over the world) is just fab, and the special effects of people's bodies being eaten away are truly awesome, and I've discovered that I'm sick, because the end, where Justin's chest disappears, is just fucking hot. And they can both dance, I'll grant you that. It's also filled me with plot bunnies, but the plot bunnies are not nice in any way.

-Speaking of plot bunnies, I have so much writing to do, it's not even funny. I need to fix the porn (aha, that's been on the to-do list for so long), finish my Momma-fic which will now have to be for [livejournal.com profile] phaballa's birthday, and then there's Dragons and Remix. I think I'm addicted to to challenges, people.

-I went to see The Wombats last night, again with [livejournal.com profile] ephemera, and it was totally fab. I haven't really ever been to a gig like that before and it was not quite what I was expecting but it was truly great. I came away going "I must now memorize their album so I know all the lyrics next time". Highlights: Let's Dance To Joy Division (obviously!); they opened with a little a capella song, which is just designed to make me go squee; they had a giant 10ft inflatable wombat in sunglasses! (Anyone who is familiar with the above wombat icon will get an idea why I approve.) Their logo is also a yellow diamond like an Australian road warning sign, which I love, because my sister brought me back one of those signs (saying Wombats 10km) from Australia the first time she went. The second support, I Was A Cub Scout, were also pretty cool, although the first support were a bit dull (although. Floppy spastic weirdo dancing for the win).

-Friday night was JAMES MARSTERS WOO. He is adorable like puppies, and also, hot like burning, and his music is pretty damn cool. Also, he can sing. (Men with good voices really really do it for me.) He has a song called "Chocolate Jesus", which, yes. Also a song about having a crush on an underage girl but nobly not having sex with her (go James!). The support for that was also pretty awesome - his name was Ben Mark or possibly Denmark (I think Ben Mark) and he had some really lovely songs. And a very strong voice.

-I need to go icon hunting. There are so many icons to be had.
