Also: A huge, huge thank you to the wonderful [livejournal.com profile] llamabitchyo, who donated the bunny that developed into this story, held my hand constantly along the way, and provided a wonderful beta. Massive props are also due to [livejournal.com profile] vaudevilles, for beta, [livejournal.com profile] ninjetti75 for talking through various plot elements with me, [livejournal.com profile] ephemera_pop for convincing me on the title, and [livejournal.com profile] ravenbat, for telling me it didn't suck when I was worried it did. Thanks are also due to [livejournal.com profile] pensnest, [livejournal.com profile] ephemera_pop (again!) and [livejournal.com profile] nopseud for convincing me that my original idea didn't work the way I wanted it to.

The monthly challenges continue - next month hosted by [livejournal.com profile] copyrightpidalo. Go have a look at Make September Happy and claim your day. This month, we're suggesting that people take on [livejournal.com profile] fic_requests prompts, so if you want to claim a specific prompt along with your day, you can!

Also, JuC Swap has gone live! I had great fun taking part and wrote two stories - my "real" story, Flaming Ninja Waffles, and my pinch hit is (I'm Not) Home For Christmas. I'll probably repost them both on my fic journal over the next few days.

I also can't recommend the story that was written for me highly enough - everyone should read BookPeople by [livejournal.com profile] phaballa. It's an AU: Justin works in a bookstore and is romantic and geeky and just a bit broken. There is bitchy Lance, JC is beautiful and amazing and wearing pink and glitter, Chris is (duh) awesome, and Joey is a really good friend and not such a great roommate. It's awesome.

The only other one I've managed to read so far was the brilliant Hi De Woe by [livejournal.com profile] turps33. Terri is brilliant as always and this story is sweet and funny and adorable and, oh, just go read it.

Honourable mention goes to the three stories I beta'd for but haven't re-read yet. I'm totally reccing them all anyway. There's Bon-Bon Fire Of The Vanities (awesome Gossip Girl AU by [livejournal.com profile] phaballa). And from the wonderful [livejournal.com profile] llamabitchyo there's Do Not Arouse Or Awaken Love (Until It So Desires), which is about Justin and Britney and the Bible and Chris and how desirable JC is; and Rabbits' Feet, Kisses And Invisible Gay Necklaces which is about luck and love and growing up.

You should totally read all these stories, for they are awesome.

And I'm done pimping!

Yay!

How did my JuC Swap pinch hit end up as 11k and counting?

No, really. How?

TWELVE thousand words people.

(Twelve thousand and four, to be exact!)

Blimey.

More to write, still.

Meep.

This has decided to be my Official Challenge Icon.

I have just over 8,000 words on my JuC Swap and I'm just about halfway done.

At what point did this story get so epic?

(I am so grateful to [livejournal.com profile] llamabitchyo for the bunny and the constant help along the way. And determined to make there be lots and lots and LOTS of words by the end of the weekend.)

Dude. This may be longer than my SeSa was. And my SeSa was... epic, for me.

Nothing on Bittybang today.

1k on the JuC Swap, though, and still going.

Really, really need food, though. I think I'm gonna make myself some eggs.

GIP.

New layout. A new bunch of icons including a new default (well, hello, Mr Bass). I wrote a thousand words plus for [livejournal.com profile] bittybang today and I've got a really good idea where I'm going with it. It's just a shame I'm not so certain on the JuC Swap, really.

In all, not the worst day ever.

Thank you to [livejournal.com profile] llamabitchyo who is responsible for ALL my new icons - there's one to come which will is also due to [livejournal.com profile] llamabitchyo, via [livejournal.com profile] d_floorlandmine - and also for my [livejournal.com profile] bittybang bunny.

I really want to carry on with the [livejournal.com profile] bittybang but I stupidly came to my parents' and didn't email myself the latest draft. I guess I can just carry on and email the new scene to myself - or write something for [livejournal.com profile] bassez_day, I've no clue what.

How are you, ya'll? What's up in the universe?

I'm going to ask a question of the day. What is your comfort activity? What do you do, for preference, when you're down?
