So I don't really write any more.
Sep. 16th, 2012 11:46 amIt's been... I don't know how long since I posted anything new. In fact, yes I do - it was Christmas 2009, the last time I took part in MtYG, the popslash Secret Santa challenge. I just haven't been writing.
So it seems like weird and unusual circumstances that I have a new fic to share with you all.
It's called Harry Potter and the Methods of Anti-Gravity and that link goes to the story on AO3.
It is, as the title suggests, a Harry Potter fic (my first and only).
Enjoy!

-While watching one music channel or other with
ephemera last night, I finally managed to catch "Four Minutes". Verdict: oh my God, the song sucks. Justin needs a fucking shave, and, dude, what's with the scarf? And Madonna is scary. But the concept (CGI scary thing takes over the world) is just fab, and the special effects of people's bodies being eaten away are truly awesome, and I've discovered that I'm sick, because the end, where Justin's chest disappears, is just fucking hot. And they can both dance, I'll grant you that. It's also filled me with plot bunnies, but the plot bunnies are not nice in any way.
-Speaking of plot bunnies, I have so much writing to do, it's not even funny. I need to fix the porn (aha, that's been on the to-do list for so long), finish my Momma-fic which will now have to be for
phaballa's birthday, and then there's Dragons and Remix. I think I'm addicted to to challenges, people.
-I went to see The Wombats last night, again with
ephemera, and it was totally fab. I haven't really ever been to a gig like that before and it was not quite what I was expecting but it was truly great. I came away going "I must now memorize their album so I know all the lyrics next time". Highlights: Let's Dance To Joy Division (obviously!); they opened with a little a capella song, which is just designed to make me go squee; they had a giant 10ft inflatable wombat in sunglasses! (Anyone who is familiar with the above wombat icon will get an idea why I approve.) Their logo is also a yellow diamond like an Australian road warning sign, which I love, because my sister brought me back one of those signs (saying Wombats 10km) from Australia the first time she went. The second support, I Was A Cub Scout, were also pretty cool, although the first support were a bit dull (although. Floppy spastic weirdo dancing for the win).
-Friday night was JAMES MARSTERS WOO. He is adorable like puppies, and also, hot like burning, and his music is pretty damn cool. Also, he can sing. (Men with good voices really really do it for me.) He has a song called "Chocolate Jesus", which, yes. Also a song about having a crush on an underage girl but nobly not having sex with her (go James!). The support for that was also pretty awesome - his name was Ben Mark or possibly Denmark (I think Ben Mark) and he had some really lovely songs. And a very strong voice.
-I need to go icon hunting. There are so many icons to be had.
