The Plan - random thought

randomlingOkay, so my major concern with this story is that it's way too schmoopy and sappy, and there's not enough tension in it to keep anyone reading. I'm thinking that it may have to be ruthlessly cut once I'm done, that there are certain things that I haven't really dramatized that should be dramatized, and that it may bear not much resemblence at all to the first draft once I am done writing it.
I'm also worried that I'm simply not going to have time to edit it by the final deadline. Not and get it into the shape that I really want it to be in when I post it. I think that's a consideration, but I don't want to stop writing, and the one thing I can't do (I think?) is dash off 20,000 words of something fun in the last two weeks of November if I don't think this is going to work - because if I'm lucky there's going to be someone preparing fanart for the epic.
