Yeah, that's right. I'd seen a few episodes at random intervals - um, I'd seen "Faith" and "Route 666" from S1, the first one with Ava from S2, and 3x01 - but hadn't really got into the show. Then my sister showed me S1 over a couple of weekends and seeing it order I was hooked!
I'm completely enthralled by the new story arc. Dean was saved by an angel! And OMG I have to ask someone: WHAT HAPPENED TO SAM'S EYES?! Is he really turning into a demon? What the fuck, dude? I saw that and went, NO. My SAM!
But - and I know you're an episode ahead of me as I haven't got hold of last night's yet - what do you think is going to happen to him? Think he will really go evil? I am desperate for him to be saved, but I don't know if he can, and when this show promises bad shit I trust it to deliver, you know?
Plus, Sam couldn't save Dean, when it was the other way around. And this shit is worse.
Um yes. That was probably more of a ramble than you were expecting? But I am so in love with this show now.
What did you think of the monster movie episode? I thought that was so cool and SPN is really good at taking itself not-very-seriously.
Also, wow, your icon. Castiel is one SCARY mofo. I like him.
I guess maybe Sam's demon eyes in the most recent ep was an optical illusion. I thought they looked like they went black, but other people on my flist think they didn't.
I don't know what will happen to Sam. Since he's Sam, I can't see him ever turning wholly evil, but I think there may be something coming up where he and Dean are on opposing sides. But of course Sam won't be truly lost - he has to keep fighting evil sons of bitches with Dean, after all.
Ah, Monster Movie wasn't a favorite ep of mine, but there's usually one or two a season that I don't much like. Almost everyone else I know loved it though, so you're definitely in the majority.
I wasn't thinking of the black eyes but the YELLOW eyes in... 4x05? The one with the ghost sickness and Dean doing Eye of the Tiger in the car. I watched the exorcism of Samhain again, and I THINK it was just that he had his eyes screwed up so you couldn't see the whites? But I could be wrong, I'm not 100% sure.
Anyway, it's the flash of yellow eyes that scared me. And, yeah, I think that the universe is probably conspiring to try and split them up. I doubt it'll work, at least not for the long term. I like my boys when they are together. :D
Aw, Monster Movie was fun. Silly, but fun. ("Rehymenated." Oh, Dean! Is it time for Anatomy 101?) Not quite as fun as their other parody eps, though, and dude, a bit early in the season to be pulling that stuff maybe? But hey, whatever.
It seems a lot grosser this season, too. The only "OMG EW" I've had is the episode with the dude eating raw meat.
