Not that I am caring about word count goals for "The Plan" any more - it's not for a challenge, so I am writing at my leisure, and intending to edit even more so - but I have picked up the threads of the novel and am plugging on with it.

So I'm not sure what the final "first draft word count" will turn out to be, but 140k seems reasonable given that I wrote almost 70k on Part One. I have quite a lot of plot still to get through and am revelling in the fact that I can take my time now to get through it. Wahoo!

I am impressed with my ouput for today!

I am also trying to figure out which challenges I can take part in next year. I don't want to overload myself, so my desire, which is "all of them!", is going to have to be moderated by common sense. Especially since I am running a challenge next year.

So I'm saying right now, please don't be offended if I don't take part in your challenge next year! I love challenges, but probably can't do everything, at least not if I want to have a week or two next year to devote to my own projects...

I'm going to be SO OFFENDED if you don't take part in my challenge! I am going to take all my toys and go home!

...are you running a challenge next year? (Are you doing Word 2 Ur Momma again? Maybe I can finally resurrect "Justinated" and get it polished off...)

And hey, you're one of the people that wants to read "The Plan" - if I do all the challenges in the world I will never have time to finish it!

I am hopefully running [livejournal.com profile] word2urmomma again. I might be the only participant, but the show WILL go on!

That's a fantastic word count!

Which challenge are you running?

I am doing the Badfic Challenge, probably in March next year.

The premise: Take a badfic concept, and make it good.

It should be fun!

Staying away from challenges is hard! It's good that you're so determined to do so.

Hee. I won't stay away from all the challenges. I obviously have to do SeSa, my own challenge, and Remix, and I'm really tempted by the Chris challenge too.

But I really, really want to finish The Plan this year. No JuC Swap for me, I think, and no Dragons unless I have something shiny and ready to go.

Really, doing my own writing is important.

YOU MUST JOIN THE CHRIS CHALLENGE!

You know, if you want to *g*

Really, doing my own writing is important

It is. As a former challenge addict, I've found having my own fic with no hanging deadline is awesome. I'm sure you do too.
