Proliferation of blogs!

So I've talked before about my writing blog. And I'm going to ramble on like a mad thing under the cut about why I have it and why it's different from my journal, and the effect it's had on my journaling practice.
Well. On my keeping of an LJ/DW journal, anyway.
On the "writing blog", I write about some stuff that's really deeply personal - sometimes way more personal than the stuff I used to post under lock on LJ. Which, to my mind at least, makes a nonsense of keeping a mostly-friends-only journal, at least for me. The "writing blog" very quickly turned into a "process blog" for me, something in which I write random insights about what's going on with me. It's been really interesting as an exercise, and also because random people read it, and I love doing it.
And it's had an effect on what I do over here, on LJ/DW, and with the crossposting thing. Because my LJ, I realize now, was never really a blog, not in the way that Lucy Viret is a blog. It's a journal, a social networking tool (one of my favourites) and a way of keeping in touch with people. And that's different from a blog. And yet - DW is even more interesting to me because once again it's full of people I don't know. Or don't know well. Yet. I want to get to know you all!
It's probably the same reason I am weird about tags - this isn't really a record of anything, so I'm confused about how to tag the entries and what to do about that. I keep coming up with systems but they never quite cover all the bases!
So this journal is open now, though I may make any posts with contact details or similar access-only. I'm not sure how that's going to pan out in the future. Bear with me as I play around with concepts, huh?
Oh, also. I do have
lucyviret over here on DW. Nothing is there, but I wanted my writing name so that I can do something with it if I want.
That is all.
