I can't be mad at JC for not putting out his own music. I just can't - not when he seems this sad and hurt and cynial and disillusioned and angry.

I don't know if that makes me weird or a bad fan but it's just true.

Poor JC. I wonder what's going on in his head.

Frankly, I don't know why anyone would be mad at him. Disappointed there's no music, angry FOR him and the way the industry has apparently treated and just plain sad that he seems to feel so bitter. Those I get.

In conclusion, if that makes you a bad fan, then hey! At least you're not alone. :-D

Exactly. Angry for him and what seems to have been happening to him with this CD and the last one. And yes, very sad that he seems to have been hurt so badly. I just want to cuddle the poor boy.

what msktrnanny said. it makes me sad, but it's impossible to be mad at him when we don't even really know what's going on and why things are being held up. i keep thinking, if we feel this way as fans, how much worse must it be for him as the musician? *hugs him*

Yes - exactly. I really would love to hear his music but you know? He doesn't owe us anything, I just want him to be okay. He doesn't seem okay at all right now. :(

Being a fan for me is mostly about wishing my boys/people epic amounts of well.

so well said, my dear. i'm just glad that he's writing at all, for other people or otherwise, and that we'll still get to hear something from him soon; that speaks volumes to me about how much he still loves his craft.

the jc hate is just making me really, really sad, so thank you so much for doing this. it's nice to see that there are fans out there who understand that sometimes people get jaded when they have their expectations crushed all the time, and when that happens, it's time to focus inward, and it seems like he's maybe trying to do that right now.

(and i don't know if i'm channeling my own story, right now, but he sounds SO MUCH LIKE HE WANTS N'SYNC BACK AND HE JUST WON'T LET HIMSELF WANT IT ANYMORE BECAUSE HE DOESN'T THINK IT'LL EVER HAPPEN FOR THE RIGHT REASONS. *sadface*)

Have you ever noticed that he avoids saying "nsync" in interviews? He always says "the group". Poor guy, he's too much of a realist sometimes.

I met JC when he was on a radio tour promoting the cd. Jive was jerking him around and he looked like he needed more sleep, dark circles under his eyes.

He was so happy, though. He's proud of the cd and wants to share it with us as much as we're dying to hear it. The tracks he played us were really awesome.

It really saddens me that this is happening to him. He deserves better. Did you read an article or see a clip that showed him feeling this way. Could you possibly rec me? Thanks!

I don't think it makes you a bad fan. I think that you're a good one. The guys don't owe us anything. Its great that you're standing behind him like this. I know he appreciates all of us fams. I made sure to tell him that he has lots of support on LJ and myspace.

He totally does deserve better. He deserves to have someone out there recognize and support his talent, and give him the marketing opportunities and the backing that he needs. He can't do that alone; no one can. He has such a unique and interesting sound, and I think he's got a ready-made audience out there - especially over here in Europe, perhaps - it's just that he needs someone behind him with the tools to help him reach them.

I hope he finds them, I really do. But mostly I just want him to be okay.

Does he seem sad to you? That's interesting. I mean, interesting in the contradiction of what he says (I'm happy doing what I'm doing, I love doing the show, blah blah) and how you perceive him. Hmmm. He doesn't really seem sad to me. More resigned. But I'm also a big proponent of the philosophy that if something is making you unhappy, it's your obligation to yourself to do everything in your power to change it.
