Post the first line from your 25 most recent fanfics and try to find a pattern.
I'm using the most recently posted, as there are a couple I've recently finished that haven't seen the light of day yet.
25. "I tried to what?"
24. "He's like an animal," Donna said softly.
23. "...more than okay."
22. Chris's key scraped against the lock and missed - again.
21. "Tell me something," JC said.
20. "We couldn't just get a dog? Dogs are less paperwork."
19. The sun was going down behind the Hollywood Hills.
18. From the other side of the fence, Chris watched.
17. JC was bent over his guitar, his back a long, smooth curve.
16. The disadvantage of being on tour is that you can't, while performing in, say, Kansas, make a spontaneous beach trip.

Seriously - apart from there being a good whack of me opening with dialogue in here, what similarities can you see?
