As everyone else seems to be doing it, here is my description of what I used to do in the ten hundred most commonly used words.

I am not working right now, but I can talk about my last job.
I used to work at a place which helped people who have problems with their brain. Often older people have these problems, but sometimes younger people have the problems too. This place helps by offering care, finding out more about how these problems happened and how to make them better, and talking about how everyone can help people with brain problems. They tell people about the brain problems and what they do, too.
The people I worked with helped get money for people with brain problems by asking people with a lot of money to give them money and explaining how the money would be used and why they needed it. My job was to find out things for the people who were asking for money, and to make sure everything was in the right place when they needed it. I would also make sure that the money we got was looked after quickly and that we always said thank you. Sometimes I found things out from our store and wrote those things down so that they were easy to read.
It was a very nice job.
