Rants like this? Are why I no longer have anything to do with Doctor Who fandom.

Someone talk me out of making a long, ranty comment on the relevant fandom_wank post about everything that's wrong with that blog post? Because it's all been said already, and I have met the (ever so slightly creepy) author of the above blog post, and while it's good that he's aware that he seems to have experienced arrested development at 17, he's apparently quite happy to remain that way for the rest of his days, and seems to feel it's inherently more worthy to be awkward and full of angst than inexpertly trying to start making a life for yourself. Which. Jesus, I can't tell you how disturbing I find that.

OMFG that post makes me so angry and I'm not even sure why!
