Well, I finally hit 20k:

20,721 / 20,000 (103.6%)

So that's awesome.

On the other hand, this is the bar for (a very conservative estimate of) the actual wordcount I expect this story (book!) to shake out to.

20,721 / 80,000 (25.9%)

That's... less awesome.

And I'm not sure I've actually written 25% of the story.

Ah, well. [keeps going]
