It's possible that I'm quitting Google...

Although frankly, this will be quite hard.

I just set up an email address at zoho.com, and I think I'm going to set up some forwarding and try it. I'm kind of disturbed by all the new data-tracking that Google is doing and... well, I've been thinking about it for a little while.

Zoho has IMAP set up which is my most important thing. And I think I can probably set up POP3 from my many gmail accounts.

I'll have to figure out using DW as a feed reader, too, I think. (Does anyone consider that good/bad/indifferent? Thoughts?)

For now, my contact information is not changing, but I'll let you know if it does.

Thoughts. I has them.

Trying to quit google too. Deleted documents, YT and plus (not that I was using them much). But I'm so attached to gmail! :/

Ah, I quit Google a while ago; I'd been meaning to for a while simply because their services hadn't worked smoothly for me in a long time, and the bad media coverage (I've seen both sides of the argument and I'm not sure which is truly correct, if either; but with private data, better safe than sorry) was the last straw. How is Zoho treating you? I'm still looking for a trustable IMAP mail provider.

Also, how has using DW as RSS been going? I hadn't thought about that. I dropped my RSS readers a while ago as they were a huge timesink, but there's still a couple of feeds I watch on Twitter. (Also, why do all the attractive RSS readers on OSX ... sync with Google, and only Google?)
