Random recs. And a rec hunt!

tallarn linked me to a free Warren Ellis webcomic called FreakAngels. It's been running for 58 episodes, every week with a few breaks - so for a bit over a year by now. It's really cool. If you're into post-apocalyptic scenarios, or you like comics even a little bit, I'd recommend giving it a go. (If you're into Warren Ellis, I'll bet you're already reading it: but if you're like me, and like Warren Ellis but hadn't come across this, try it out!) It's many shades of awesome.

If you're into the thrilling combination of gay romance and parnormal fiction, and you haven't already come across this author, you should check out the wonderful Jordan Castillo Price and her PsyCops series. She rocks!

If anyone can rec me similar stuff (to either thing), I'd love it! :D

FreakAngels is AMAZING! I've been reading since the first, and I'm just in love.

I have a zillion webcomic links, because I still read my comics in the morning, even though I don't get the paper anymore. :D But I don't know that I've seen anything quite like FreakAngels. My favorites, though, in the story-arc field, as opposed to the daily strip type (sorry, too lazy to do pretty coding!):

Ooh. I have really only clicked one of these links (Bayou) but it's wonderful! I had heard of Girl Genius and Friendly Hostility before and they are totally on my to-check-out list.

You will be unsprurprised to know that Arkady is indeed based on arkady, in name and slightly in looks.

I recognized the name, but didn't realize the character was based on the real person (and never having met arkady or seen a picture, I didn't know they looked similar!).
