ETA: I'm not too crazy about the fairly-vicious lampooning of the fans - but many if not most telefantasy does that at some point. And at least there was a little bit of insight into the positive bits of fandom (forging connections, and seeing things in the work that the creators didn't necessarily intend).
Overall - the show's pretty flawed in its myriad ways, but I kinda like it anyway. It has a good soul.
